SYDNEY FILM FESTIVAL 11: A WONDROUS FILM ABOUT EMMA BROOKS

June 24, 2007 · 1 Comment

Well yesterday was the day…my neon animation…A WONDROUS FILM ABOUT EMMA BROOKS screened for the Dendy Awards, Sydney Film Festival 2007.

Ok… let me tell you, it didn’t win.  But to be screened in the magnificent State Theatre to a packed house was a joy.  The film looked and sounded great.  And the response was good.

And people (strangers)  came up to me afterwards…telling me very positive stuff…and “getting” what I do.

I was very pleased with the whole thing.  Especially because I was competing with films that were mostly funded by the funding bodies…films with budgets of  hundreds of thousands…and I am a true indie…who funds himself…

Indies and Outsider Artists rock!  Nothing can stop us!

 :^)

I’m really happy with the whole experience.

And congratulate the Sydney Film Festival on a very impressive 2007.

Of course your film was received well. Congratulations.

    I’m sorry for your loss.
